Finally back from ihope. Geez, this feels so troublesome. Well, I dunno but I just feel that its my duty to keep this blog alive.
Friday: Went back to CDC for badminton classes. Had extremely tough training, but I survived.
Saturday: ihope!! finally. Reached Bouna Vista at about 8++ . Got really fed up cuz I had a lot of trouble in the morning putting on my contacts. It made me like what, 20mins off schedule. Well, no matter. Bob was also late anw. Met Elisa and Nick by coincidence at the station. We splitted cuz Bob hadn’t arrived. Met Bob a while later. Surprisingly, Daniel took the same train. So we went together. We took a gamble and followed a group of people and hopefully, we would end up in ACJC. Indeed we ended up there. Worship there was great. There was a talk by Sy Rogers there. It was really good. He talks about how he had been a homosexual in the past and almost went for a sexchange because others treated him differently. It all started when his mother died in an accident. His dad sent him away because the dad had some financial problems. Or at least something like that anyway, he grew up in an environment where there were mostly females because in the home where his father sent him, there were.. only females. So he adopted their style of talking and stuff like that so he was treated differently. When his dad had no more problems, his dad remarried and took him back. Sy’s parents tried to address his problems by sending him to the baseball team, wrestling team, soccer team, but the people around him still treated him differently. As the bible says “there is power in the words” (or at least something like that. I forgot which verse was it) when Sy grew up, he began to think he was really different. He went to some famous clinic for a sexchange sometime later. The doctor asked him to live for two years as a woman before the operation. But when Sy told the doctor who he was, the doctor was like “Oh, you’re Sy Rogers! Okay you can go for the operation now” When he was in the middle of the operation, before they did anything to him, god’s holy sprit said “STOOOP!” (that was what he said in the talk) and somehow he didn’t continue with the operation. Another thing, he was a Christian in the past. Somehow he was sexually mistreated and he asked God “why? Why did you allow such things to happen to me?” his believe in God strongly decreased. Continuing from before the phrase “Another thing,” Somehow Sy decided to live the two years as a woman. During that time, he somehow found God again and realized that God didn’t want him to go for the operation. It was on a fine day, when he was driving.. the radio announced that the famous clinic Sy was going for his operation was closed down because the research showed that the operation didn’t do any good to the victims. It couldn’t have been more clear! To tell Sy that he didn’t want him to go for the operation, he closed down the whole system the whole clinic. Sy started living like a man from then onwards. He discovered girls finally. “its like going through puberty all over again” he said. He got married to a bold woman who didn’t mind his past. They had a daughter and is now getting married next week. Sy said that he had to be back in his country for the wedding. And that’s about all for his talk. I went for 3 other conferences later and went off for movie night! We were really late cuz the shuttle bus service was canceled due to lack of frontliners going for ihope. See lah! You ppl. I ask you go, you don’t go. Oh wells.. reached really late but nevertheless, I got to watch Pirates Of The Caribbean(dead man’s chest).
Sunday: woke up only to find someone beating me with the sleeping mat. It was all blurry and I couldn’t figure out who that was. I think it was Bob, but it looked a little diff. Must have been cuz he wasn’t wearing his specs. After FL, me, Matthew and Kenneth went to TM to catch Pirates Of The Caribbean(at world’s end). We took a bus to Tampines Safra to play LAN. Went home after that and that was that.
